Starting from July 2011, all the toys imported to the EU shall be accompanied by a set of documents that is subject to check by customs, or market surveillance authorities. These documents ensure the compliance, safety, and traceability of the products, and must be kept for 10 years after the last importation.
As a quality assurance solutions provider, API can help you to build up, maintain and make accessible this set of documents. Our solution is to divide it in 2 parts:
Part one contains all documents related to the construction and characteristics of the toy, and will be used for several shipments, or PO. This file is the Technical Compliance File (TCF).
Part two that contains the information specific to one shipment and which must be updated for each importation of the toy. This file is the Batch Follow-up File (BFF).
